The Unchecked Authority of School Boards to Raise Taxes

The recent Auditor General's report alleges that the West Chester Area School district was “raising taxes while holding millions of dollars in their General Fund accounts." Bottom line: our school board voted to raise taxes when they didn't need to and they got caught by the PA Auditor General. Read about it here.
