Back to Basics is pleased to introduce readers to our school board candidate for Region 3, Alain Oliver!
Alain (pronounced /əˈlīn/, like the word ALIGN) earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University, and obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University. Born in Cuba, Alain is bilingual in both English and Spanish, and has dedicated his career to the service of others through nonprofit work. A naturalized US citizen, Alain takes his responsibility as an American very seriously and is seeking public office as a way to give back to the country that has given him a home and a better life. Alain and his wife have lived in Chester County for almost twenty years, and have four children, two currently attending WCASD schools, with the other two soon to be attending.
If you live in Region 3, you will have the opportunity to vote for Alain on May 16.
*Region 3 includes parts of East Bradford, Thornbury (Chester County), Thornbury (Delaware County), 2 precincts in West Goshen, and Westtown Townships.
