Nick Spangler, Region 1
Nick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education, a Master of Arts degree in Education and School Administration, as well as a post graduate Certification in School Administration from Edinboro University of PA. Nick has worked as a special education teacher, a second career in the insurance industry, and retired as a Learning and Development Analyst. View West Chester voting regions here.

CURRENT JOB
Nick retired from his full-time job in 2018. However, he continues to spend his weekends working as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Reiki Master practitioner.
MOST IMPORTANT REASON FOR RUNNING FOR SCHOOL BOARD
Nick considers himself to be results-driven, and has multiple years of experience in education, curriculum development, and educational performance analytics. If elected to the school board, Nick will approach his role on the board as someone who asks questions, reviews data, and relies on relevant educational research before making decisions. Nick and Bob are lifelong friends and have decided to run together as a team in Region 1.
FUN FACTS ABOUT NICK
Born and raised in West Chester, three generations of Nick’s family have attended WCASD schools and have graduated from Henderson High School. Nick’s three adult children (Henderson graduates), are all college graduates, and he also has four amazing granddaughters. Nick was an original member of the board for the Uptown Entertainment Alliance, and a former vestry board member for the Church of the Holy Trinity in West Chester.
