Amanda Greenberg, Region 2

Amanda has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science from Arizona State University and a dual master’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from La Salle University. She has worked in public education as a special education teacher and an elementary classroom teacher at one of the top rated school districts in the Philadelphia area. CURRENT JOB

Amanda is currently employed at a private school where she is thrilled to be guiding students to become independent thinkers, to find their tribes and their passions, and to pursue greatness through critical thinking.

 

MOST IMPORTANT REASON FOR RUNNING FOR SCHOOL BOARD

Amanda’s most important reasons for running are to improve safety, increase transparency, and heighten fiscal accountability within the district.  She is passionate about these issues, and is heavily invested in the health of WCASD because her own children will be attending WCASD for the next 13 years.

 

FUN FACTS ABOUT AMANDA

Born and raised in Arizona, Amanda has a love for the outdoors and gets outside as much as possible with her husband, their 3 children, and their 2 rescue dogs. Amanda is passionate about passing down her family’s cultural heritage to her children: Amanda is both Mexican and Jewish and is honored to be able to bring the Mexican culture of her childhood to Pennsylvania, while also  immersing her children in the culture, traditions, and teachings of Judaism.
